Aditya Chopra’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol remains audience’s favorite. The film still continues to be screened at Maratha Mandir in Mumbai. But did you know the one of the most iconic scenes ‘Palat’ of this most celebrated love story was copied. Oh Yea! And director Aditya Chopra did not hide this from the audience. Instead the filmmaker also revealed from where he copied the scene in the book, Aditya Chopra Relives…Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. 

Penned by Nasreen Munni Kabir, Aditya was quoted saying, “It got stuck in my head. Then I forgot all about it. When I was writing this scene (in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge), it came back to me. I liked the idea and used it here.” So now finally revealing about the movie it is a Hollywood film titled, In the Line of Fire, featuring Clint Eastwood and Rene Russo. Here Rene after a long conversation is seen leaving the venue and Clint is quietly observing her hoping her to turn around and share a glance. 

In Aditya Chopra’s DDLJ we saw Kajol heading to board the train, slowly walking towards it, while SRK is eagerly waiting for her turn around.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge had released on October 25, 1995 and had went on to win 10 Filmfare awards in 1996. Made with a budget of 40 million it minted 1.06 billion at the box office.
